WAUSAU Financial Systems recognizes the importance of disaster recovery planning and services. To address this need, we have developed relationships with a number of independent disaster recovery providers.

Bank Up supplies the financial community with hot-sites, contingency planning and disaster recovery services for item processing systems and mainframe computers. Bank Up is the leading recovery service in California, with locations in San Ramon and El Monte, providing 24 x 7 disaster recovery services for your institution. Support staff is available during the disaster recovery process to handle your equipment, network, fire or power failures, as well as natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods. Certified annual hands-on testing is included with this service for up to three tests per year.

Baseline Data Services has complete disaster recovery facilities available in the Indianapolis area for WAUSAU Financial Systems customers. They support products such as Optima, ImageRPS, IntelliCheck 3000, Optima IMS and ImageWorks. Baseline Data Services has a complete NCR equipment configuration waiting for your back-up needs. This includes conventional reader/sorters, (3) 7780s with virtual proof and CAR, multiple servers, high-resolution workstations, tape drives and other peripherals – everything necessary for a complete disaster recovery facility. In addition, we can provide back-up for Unisys-based configurations. Baseline Data Services does not charge additional disaster declaration fees or annual testing fees. The facility features four full-time experienced systems engineers and annual testing assistance. The recovery facility is convenient to the Indianapolis airport.

As an alliance partner with Orbograph Corporation, DRS supports all versions of the OrboCAR product line, including Super Trinity and Accura CAR/LAR systems. DRS has a complete portfolio of resources to support WAUSAU Financial Systems' ImageRPS sites. The SAFECHEX Recovery Center established in 1993 was the first check and remittance processing center devoted solely to serving the disaster recovery needs of its members. Industry professionals helped design, engineer and manage the center. FTC Continuity Services recently expanded its service offering to include operational recovery. This includes capture, sort, encode, statement print/mail and mail extraction - all supported 24 x 7. The 40,000 square-foot facility is equipped with its own 750kw / 460v diesel generator.

In the event a disaster strikes a member's own facility, that institution immediately continues operations at the SAFECHEX Recovery Center. The SAFECHEX Recovery Center is equipped with all of the following image systems - IBM 3890XP, NCR 7780, Unisys NDP600 and NDP2000 transports. OPEX MPS 30, 50 and 150, as well as Bell+Howell Mailstar 500’s and the necessary supplemental equipment are also available. Redundant hosting/co-location services are available and designed to meet your needs.

The member maintains total control of its work in process and operates with its own employees, procedures, schedules, software, etc. Periodic testing and Turnkey Services at the SAFECHEX Recovery Center assure rapid restoration of full production and a successful recovery. Telecommunications options include T1, DS3, ISDN, INTERNET AND HOT NODE, as well as VPN capabilities. Annual testing is included and can be either on-site or by VPN.
